报告摘要:
本报告以时变介质中的新型光学现象为主题,系统介绍低折射率透明导电氧化物在近零介电常数区的超快光物理机制与前沿应用。报告指出,透明导电氧化物在飞秒光脉冲激发下可产生极快、大幅折射率变化,其飞秒载流子动力学可实现接近理想的时变光学系统,通过时空调制直接操控光子能量与动量,构建出具有强宽带非线性响应的时变介质平台。
报告人简介:
Marcello Ferrera is Professor of Nanophotonics at Heriot-Watt University, UK, within the Institute of Photonics and Quantum Sciences, where he also serves as Director of the MSc programme in Quantum Technologies. His research focuses on time-varying photonics and ultrafast light–matter interactions in low-index and epsilon-near-zero materials, with applications spanning optical signal processing, quantum photonics, and neuromorphic computing. He has made significant contributions to nonlinear and ultrafast optics, including the development of novel platforms for extreme light manipulation on sub-wavelength and sub-picosecond scales.
