As a cooperative university of ECNU, the University of Alberta Research Experience (UARE) offers a 12-week paid scientific research internship for talented senior undergraduate students from key partner universities. In 2018 and 2019, ECNU selected nearly 20 undergraduate students to Canada for scientific research practice and obtained good overseas academic experience.

   Chuanshuai Fu, a Grade Four undergraduate majoring in physics, participated in the University of Alberta Research Experience (UARE) between July 2 to October 2, 2019. During the internship, Chuanshuai kept the spirit of diligent research in ECNU, and actively solved the problems encountered in scientific research with the help and guidance of the students in the laboratory. He also won the recognition and favor of foreign tutors, and was encouraged to return to the University of Alberta for postgraduate study. Chuanshuai’s project subject is high latitude ocean research. Based on the knowledge of physics, mathematics, computer science and marine geography, Chuanshuai will try to understand the change rule of sea water from many aspects.
