Prof. Jie Chen was approved to attend the High-end Foreign Experts Program of ECNU. During June 4 to July 3, Prof. Chen worked in ECNU to explore the feasibility of establishing an interdisciplinary laboratory and discuss the feasibility of international cooperation. On May 8, Prof. Chen gave a lecture to introduce the Internet-of-Things biosensors and its wide application in environmental monitoring, food safety checking, disease diagnosis and other fields. In addition, Prof. Chen was invited to visit the State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy in North Zhongshan Road Campus and the new laboratory in Minhang Campus in order to gain new insights into the ECNU’s achievements in the field of precision spectroscopy.
Prof. Michael J. Serpe was also approved to attend the High-end Foreign Experts Program and would work in ECNU for a month to discuss the cooperative research on the sensor technology of water sample spectral detection, and explore the feasibility of improving the sensitivity of water sample spectral detection technology. In addition, Prof. Serpe will also give lectures about the research basis and frontier applications of water samples spectral detection.
