On October 11, Prof. David Turpin, President of the University of Alberta, and his delegation visited East China Normal University. Prof. David Turpin is the PhD in botany and oceanography and is the 13th president of the University of Alberta. He is a member of the Order of Canada and the Royal Society of Canada and has received the Queen’s Diamond and Golden Jubilee medals.  

In the morning, a meeting was held with President Turpin and his delegation and the representatives of ECNU for the in-depth exchanges on how to further deepen cooperation between the two universities in education, ecology, nano optoelectronics and other fields. The leaders attending the meeting include Yunxuan Zhou, director of the International Exchange Department; E Wu, Executive Director of JIAST; Fuyi Yang, deputy director of Faculty of Education; and Jie Liu, Secretary of the Party committee of the School of Ecological and Environmental Sciences.
