We are actively seeking enthusiastic physicists and chemists pursuing academic careers in the field of quantum and nonlinear optics.
Theoretical quantum photonics and spectroscopy group belongs to State Key Laboratory of Precision Spectroscopy, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China. The group is focused on theoretical research in emerging fields of quantum thermodynamics, quantum nonlinear photonics and ultrafast spectroscopy. Advanced analytical and computational skills as well as background in quantum mechanics, nonlinear optics, many-body theory is highly desirable.
The group is well positioned internationally and provides multiple possibilities to continue academic career in leading US and European research groups; performing joint research projects and frequent exchanges with various groups in the world including groups in Texas A&M University, University of California, Irvine, Max Planck Institute and others.
PhD position is funded for 3-5 years depending on whether the candidate has Master’s degree. Postdoctoral positions are initially for 2 years with a possibility of renewal.
