【校级报告】Transport between fermionic superfluids: entropy, engineered dissipation and beyond

报告摘要:

Transport phenomena in superfluid systems have been extensively studied for decades, yet open questions remain especially in strongly interacting systems and in far-from-equilibrium settings. In this talk, I will focus on a cold-atom setup of two reservoirs connected by a mesoscopic channel, i.e., a quantum point contact. When the reservoirs are in the superfluid phase, a chemical potential bias induces a large and nonlinear particle current, characteristic of superfluid behaviours. In the first part, I will show experiments revealing a surprising nature of this current by measuring the concurrent entropy transport and production. In the second part, I will talk about a new direction of engineering local particle dissipation inside the channel and observing its effect on the transport between superfluids.

报告人简介:

黄梦梓 2013年本科毕业于复旦大学物理系,2015年于荷兰莱顿大学获硕士学位,2019年获法国巴黎索邦大学博士学位,师从巴黎高师LKB实验室J Reichel教授,研究方向为冷原子钟中的自旋压缩。2020年至今于瑞士苏黎世联邦理工T. Esslinger组从事博士后工作,方向为用强关联费米气体模拟输运现象。
